New from Throttle Down Kustoms is our “Prospector” Series Bumper for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU’s!

We’ve been in the aftermarket bumper industry for 20+ years. The majority of our bumpers are built with the principals of; tight fitment, maximum protection, and maximum coverage. This has worked great for all of our truck bumpers and we will continue to build them with this mindset. However the 4×4/Offroad/Jeep market doesn’t use these same principles. More often than not 4×4 and Jeep Enthusiasts are looking for; compact and nimble design, maximum ground clearance, and improved approach angle. We are no strangers to this market as our owner and operator Jeremy has built multiple rock crawlers, custom Jeeps, and race-cars. These 4×4 principles never made it to our production line, and for a time they never needed to. We believe we have a place in the 4×4/Offroad market, especially being as deeply involved with Jeeps due to our full replacement frames.

So we went to the drawing board, with the intent of creating a compact, agile, rugged, and functional Jeep bumper that 4×4 enthusiasts are looking for. This isn’t a new concept; these types of bumpers have been around for years, but it’s time for us to put our spin on it.

The “Prospector” Series Bumper

Featuring a compact, high clearance design; the “Prospector” series bumper was designed with trail and offroad functionality in mind. With a narrow width of 50.5 Inches and short height of 12 Inches, this bumper offers increased approach angle as well as more tire clearance while wheeling. The bumper itself is constructed out of 3/16″ P/O Steel, while the integrated winch mount and frames mounts are made from 1/4″ P/O Steel to offer relentless strength and integrity. Optional “Prerunner” tubes offer rugged styling and a great point to mount auxiliary lights. Not only are the Prerunner tubes a great spot for lighting, but the outer sections of the bumper come with holes for Baja Designs S2 Flush Mount series lights.
